


Yep, not the mods fault at all, its steam that effects compatibility. It's not supported anymore (content fields have no content) so it's basically a glorified desktop shortcut anyhow. I have never used the official launcher for the disk version so I am not even bothered about that difference. the only difference between both versions is the presence of the kingdoms.exe file - nothing else. If it crashes once the splash screen has come up then it's not a steam problem, it's a mod problem - hence my stance that the argument a disk version is required is nonsensical.
